Lana: Just the last few days, I felt like the girl next door again and it was nice.
Clark: Lana, you’ll always be the girl next door.
Lana: So, any chance we could do something this weekend, you know as friends?
Clark: What did you have in mind?
Lana: Well, it’s been like an oven outside so I was thinking maybe we could go swimming at Crater Lake?
Clark: I really don’t think skinny dipping is a good idea.
Lana: Who said anything about skinny dipping? Maybe in your dreams Clark.
Clark: If I squint just right it’s like were 14 again.
Lana: You say that like its a good thing. What’s up?
Clark: I couldn’t sleep.
Lana: So you came to a coffee shop? Not your best plan Mr. Kent
Clark: Lana, I know you had reasons for coming back, but why are you staying?
Lana: Leaving’s harder than I thought it would be, but like I said I don’t know how long I’ll be here.
Clark: Whether you leave in 10 years or you leave tomorrow the important thing is you’re here today.
Lana: Clark, we aren’t 14 anymore. The world will always be bigger than the both of us.
Clark: Maybe it doesn’t have to be all or nothing. For the last year all I’ve done is sacrifice myself and everything I love for the greater good. What if the rest of the world didn’t have to come first?
Lana: The world needs you Clark.
Clark: What about what we need?
Clark: Well then you’ll stay here at the farm with me. You’ll be safe. But I have to warn you, my life has become a little more … complicated.
Lana: That might be an understatement.
Clark: Lana, this is my cousin Kara.
Kara: Hi! Say hello to the next Miss Sweet Corn.
Clark: Uh, listen when I talked about fitting in, I was thinking of something with more clothes. This is definitely not blending in.
Kara: You mean undercover?
Clark: Yes! Exactly! And this is … not covered. Um, look can you just go change please? Now?
Cause it’s you and me and all of the people with nothing to do,
Nothing to prove.
And it’s you and me and all other people
And I don’t know why, I can’t keep my eyes off of you.
Clark: Lana wait! I can’t do this. I can’t let you walk out, not again.
Lana: It’s okay, we both know better than this.
Clark: I know. That’s why this time will be different.
Lana: This time?
Lana: That was the best night sleep I’ve had in weeks.
Clark: I want our first time to be as special as you are. You’re the only one I’ve ever really loved. It’s only been you Lana.
